A wonderful 10-week USSBA season comes to a close

Slideshow features images from throughout the fall

Mid-September might seem like so long ago. But it was only 10-weeks back that the 21st season of the US Scholastic Band Association began, bringing together more than 700 scholastic marching bands from across the country to nearly 140 events. On Saturday, Nov. 14th, the USSBA held its final event in its hometown of Allentown, Pa. While some groups in Texas never met those in Idaho, and others in Florida never crossed paths with bands in New Jersey, the USSBA strives to connect band members and their educators with one common theme - a passion for marching music!

For the USSBA, it goes deeper. Providing band students with performance opportunities they will cherish for a lifetime, and ensuring that experience is all it can be, comes first. We add in spectacular venues, quality adjudication and a philosophy of staying focused on what really matters - the kids!

The USSBA team says thank you for your great performances, your patience and loyalty when Mother Nature kept us guessing, and your smiles, hugs and tears!

We would really love to hear from you. Share with us your thoughts, suggestions and stories. This family is a connection to your own, as we too share your passion for marching music!

Email Sean King, Director of the USSBA, at, or by telephone at (610) 821-0345, Ext. 120.
