Host a USSBA fall marching band show in 2010

Letter to band directors from Tara Lee Bryant

Greetings Directors:

The beginning stage of arranging our 2010 Fall Marching Band Schedule has begun and we want you to be apart of it! Hosting a local show is not only a fundraiser for your music program, it allows the community to come together and grow through the musical arts.  There are no limits to how successful your event can be and the USSBA will be there from the first sign up to director feedback so your event may flourish for years to come.

The first step is to complete the Letter of Intent. This does not guarantee or tie you into any contract.  The letter of intent is acknowledging that you would like more information in regards to hosting an event and gives us the guidance needed to best serve you.

When you are deciding which date to choose, please narrow it down to three possible options and let us get back to you on which will best fit the schedule.  If you are planning an early season show, please consider the Clinic/Show Format  (4 judges and two clinicians.) Also, as in previous years, we are going to limit the number of shows in certain geographic areas.  If you know of another show close to you, please consider the Super Saturday Format.  (day/night show with separate facilities/bands)

Returning host will receive preferential dates until January 2010 when a preliminary schedule will be published for all.  Act now to be part of the priority schedule and receive the early bird discount!

If you have further inquiries please feel free to contact Tara-Lee Bryant at tara@yea.org <mailto:tara@yea.org>  or at (610) 821-0345, Ext.119. Thank you all in advance for your interest and anticipated work to make the 2010 US Scholastic Band Association season another success.
