USSBA contingency heads to Virginia Beach this week

Band directors invited to meet the team on Jan. 28th

The US Scholastic Band Association team has hit the road for a series of events to meet with band directors, answer questions and present plans for the exciting fall of 2010. Already, the team has made a successful trip to Long Island, N.Y., and tomorrow heads to Virginia Beach, Va. Also on the horizon are trips to San Antonio to New Jersey. 

On Thursday, Jan. 28th, members of the USSBA will head to Landstown High School in Virginia Beach, Va., to meet with band directors from throughout the Southeastern Virginia Region joining together to discuss the season just completed and plans for coming fall. The USSBA is excited to take the wraps off a complete 2010 season schedule for the bands in the Virginia Beach region and field questions from an illustrious group of top band directors from the area beginning at 3:30 p.m. 

Current bands already confirmed to join in the Virginia Beach discussion are: Landstown High School, Princess Anne High School, Hickory High School, Kempsville High School, Indian River High School, Bayside High School, Great Bridge High School, Western Branch High School, Green Run High School, Churchland High School, Grassfield High School and Nansemond High School. 

The month of February will bring a visit to the Texas Music Educator’s Association Conference in San Antonio from Feb. 10-13 and the following week, a visit to the New Jersey Music Educator’s Association Conference in East Brunswick from Feb. 18-20.
