Cadets seek connections for equipment hauler, paint vendors

Your generosity leads to great improvements for the fleet!

Loading hauler

Justin Heimbecker, John Keegan and Brian Wilkie load The Cadets' equipment hauler for a recent camp. The Cadets are seeking to replace the hauler for a larger model.

Big changes are on the way for The Cadets fleet of trucks, thanks to the generosity of the corps’ 2009 donors and supporters.

The outpouring of support during the 75th Anniversary and Holiday campaigns will allow the next generation of Cadets to travel like the champions they are! As a result, The Cadets administration is reaching out again – this time for assistance in locating a great deal on a larger equipment hauler and vehicle painting vendors to affix the new logo on all Cadets trucks.

The Cadets current equipment hauler is a 48-foot, 25-year old model that has traveled with the corps since 2003. According to Cadets Transportation Director Tim Gallagher, the hauler has served us well, and has many years of service ahead of it. But before The Cadets have the vehicles repainted with the new logo, it seems to be in the corps best interest to acquire a newer and bigger equipment trailer for the 2010 season.

As a friend to the corps, would you or someone you know …

  • Have connections to a 51-foot or 53-foot trailer available for purchase?
  • Have connections to a great deal for a paint or wrap of large vehicles to affix the new logo?

As good stewards, and always looking to save money for the corps, it only makes sense to reach out to our wonderful alumni and fan base to see if there are networking possibilities for these types of major purchases, said Justin Heimbecker, Assistant Director of the Cadets.

“As we look to move forward with new logos and more equipment, it seems to be in our best interest to acquire a newer and bigger trailer for the 2010 season, to accommodate the growing needs of the corps,” Heimbecker said.

Anyone who might have information to relay on a new equipment hauler or paint vendor should contact Heimbecker directly at Justin@yea.org, or by telephone at (610) 821-0345, Ext. 112.

“As Spring Training in late May quickly approaches, we will be looking to secure the details and plans in the coming weeks.”

ON THE MARKET SOON…

The Cadets current equipment hauler will be placed up for sale once a larger vehicle has been located and purchased. Band directors who might be interested should contact Heimbecker to express their interest.

The current hauler is completely outfitted with shelving, uniform storage and a unique split-level floor ideal for any band or drum corps.
