Music revisions, uniform fittings on Cadets agenda

Camp schedules, pick-ups and more; Brass players welcome

The Cadets Tuba Section rehearses during the last camp.

Less than a month after their last camp, The Cadets return to Woodstown, N.J., this weekend for rehearsals as they learn revisions to show music and get a sneak peak of the 2010 uniform from representatives of DeMoulin Brothers and Company.

Steven Trull, Vice President of DeMoulin Brothers and Company, will present the new uniform to the corps, and be on hand in Woodstown, N.J., as a team of fitters measure members for the perfect fit of maroon, cream and gold. The Cadets and DeMoulin announced last week a multi-year partnership that will see the corps performing exclusively in the supplier’s uniforms.

Camp kicks off at 9 p.m. on Friday night at Woodstown High School. The brass section will be learning revised versions of Children’s Dance and School for Scandal, said Assistant Director Justin Heimbecker. Brass musicians, particularly trumpets and baritone players, still interested in auditioning for the corps are encouraged to attend, he added.
