The Cadets ask you to consider: Sponsor A Meal!

All Access takes you to 'Dinner Impossible'

It’s no walk in the park putting a nutritionally-balanced meal on the table for 225 hungry people. Especially three times a day for 90 days straight. At a cost of about $1,200 a day!

Not an easy number to swallow when you’re trying to keep costs down while on the road, said Cadets Assistant Director Justin Heimbecker. And all the more reason to bring back the very successful Sponsor a Meal program for the 2010 season.

Now in its second year, Sponsor a Meal gives fans, family and alumni the opportunity to donate a portion, or all of a meal, while The Cadets are on the road. Perhaps the Cadets are rehearsing and performing in your hometown? Or it’s a special day for your son or daughter marching in the corps and you want to play a part in making it memorable. The skies the limit, said Heimbecker. “The needs and amounts are somewhat specific, given the extremely large quantities with all that we order for the corps. Just let us know how you’d like to help, and we’ll work out the details with you throughout the spring season!”

With the Cadets performance schedule now set, fans and family can determine where they might catch up with the corps, and help offset the mind-boggling food costs.

“In past seasons, we have had meal and food donations of all types by family and fans. From paper goods and sports drinks for 150 to burgers, dogs and full steak dinners, we welcome any help at all,” Heimbecker said. “And that can extend to cleaning and laundry supplies, too.”

General costs per meal for 225 people are:

  • Breakfast/snack: $250
  • Lunch: $350
  • Dinner: $500

All meal donations are tax deductible!

For your enjoyment, The Cadets share with you an episode of All Access titled ‘Dinner Impossible.’ Alumnus and supporter Greg Pych purchased and help prepare a traditional New Jersey Beefsteak and chicken dinner during the 2009 Summer Tour.

Family, alumni and fans interested in Sponsoring a Meal, or donating food, drinks or other sundries, should contact Melissa Babalonis at, or by telephone at (610) 821-0345, Ext. 115.
