Cadets soon to announce summer program details

April 6 alumni & friends dinner to feature show update

The Cadets are close to announcing detailed plans for their 2010 summer production “Toy Souldier.” After weeks of rehearsal and countless planning calls, we are getting close to the final product, or at least the plan for the production, according to Cadets Director and Program Coordinator George Hopkins.

Hopkins and the team will present those plans to alumni and friends of the corps on Tuesday, April 6 at the VFW on Outwater Lane in Garfield, N.J. New plumes, guard costumes, video of the recent March camp as well as music tapes will all be unveiled at the Holy Name alumni meeting.

“All are invited. Fans, friends, alumni, and curious onlookers,” Hopkins said. “Come one, come all!”

Alumni and fans of all ages are encouraged to attend as The Cadets host dinner that evening, FREE of charge! Simply RSVP so we have a headcount. A cash bar is also available courtesy of the VFW. The team plans to also have 2010 Cadets on hand to shed light on the winter experience, and staff and administration will be available to assist you in any way you would like to support the Cadets.

For those who cannot attend, a special webinar will be conducted on Wednesday, April 7 at 7 p.m. Save the date! An invitation will be sent to donors, alumni and ticket buyers, and to all others. A full release on show details will be made on Tuesday, April 13.

The Holy Name alumni association meeting begins at 7 p.m. Please RSVP so staff can gauge attendance for meal planning purposes.
