With just weeks to go before the inaugural USSBA Indoor Championship to be held at Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, N.J., on April 17, the USSBA Indoor team has announced details regarding unit participation, plus an exciting new optional fundraising ticket program for units coming to the event.

“After seven weeks of competitions, we’re coming down the homestretch to the final weekend of local competition and then the much anticipated first-ever Championships,” said Sean King, Director of the USSBA.  “It has been a terrific first season where we’ve learned a lot, and have been privileged to serve the instructors, designers and students of each of the units.  We hope to make their Championship experience as remarkable as possible and immediately begin planning for 2011.”

Exact unit step off times will be posted shortly according to the seeding criteria as published on the USSBA Web site.

Seedings

The seeding process for all units participating in the Inaugural 2010 USSBA Indoor Championships will be determined by utilizing a qualified random draw methodology utilized in the past for the USSBA Northern States Championships.

Using the units highest score achieved at a 2010 USSBA competition as of March 28, each unit will be placed in a five-point “pod” - (65-70, 71-75, 76-80, 81-85, 86-90, 91+) and then a random draw conducted for these groups.  For units who have not participated in the USSBA, the group’s performance time will be determined by a random draw based on the total number of units in their A, AA, AAA group classification.

The random draw will be conducted in the USSBA offices on Monday, April 5 with the results and corresponding seedings announced by 5 p.m.

If units have any questions regarding the seeding policy, please contact the USSBA Indoor offices at (610) 821-0345, Ext. 113, or email Tim Gallagher at tim@yea.org

Tickets

Units participating in the Inaugural 2010 USSBA Indoor Championships have a unique opportunity to use the event as a lucrative fundraiser for their team.  The ticket sales program is 100 percent optional and exclusive to those groups registered for the Indoor Championships set for Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, N.J., on Saturday, April 17.

For advance group ticket sales, the USSBA is making available an unlimited number of $15 tickets available for $10, allowing units to make 33 percent commission on tickets to the event which will close out the inaugural season and crown the first-ever Champions in eight competitive categories.

Participating units simply need to contact the USSBA offices for the tickets they are interested in selling.  From there, each ticket sold will net the team $5 and with a modest sales effort could make the program a few hundred dollars.
