You're Invited: Wine Tasting 2010 on April 25

Join YEA! for a memorable day in East Rutherford, N.J.

Taos will host Wine Tasting 2010 on April 25.

Two years ago, Youth Education in the Arts held a Wine Tasting at the lovely Taos Restaurant in East Rutherford, N.J. It was a warm, intimate affair featuring wonderful wines, an unforgettable menu, and great friends who care about the future of YEA!’s programs.

YEA! and our Wine Tasting Committee (Greg Pych, John Wagner, John Avella and Jim Messina) are excited to be bringing this event back to Taos this month and are inviting you to join us on Sunday, April 25th from 1-5 p.m.

The tasting will include a variety of select wines paired with a delightful assortment of hors d’oeuvres and desserts, something to please every palette.

Take a look at just SOME of the menu items:

Mini Beef Wellingtons, Filet Mignon on Croutons, General Taos Chicken, Blackened Chicken Skewers, Shanghai Wings, Stuffed Mushrooms, Assorted Sushi Rolls, Scallops Wrapped in Bacon, Crab Rolls, Seared Tuna, Shrimp Cocktail, Filet Mignon with Horseradish Dressing, assorted salads and crudités, plus…

Plus a never-ending raw bar featuring mussels, oysters, shrimp, crab claws, seared tuna, clams, and whole salmon.

Then there will be the wines!  Featuring multiple tasting stations, the event will include some of the most savored wines from vineyards across the world!

Also returning in 2010 is a Connoisseur’s Class from 12-1:30 p.m.  During this intimate session, experts will help clear the mysteries and uncertainties that come with choosing and tasting wine.

The afternoon will also include auction items and raffles on some wonderful prizes, including wine related gift baskets and certificates from select dining establishments, just to name a few!

Please join us for a lovely afternoon and, at the same time, help support the dynamic programs of YEA! that give young performers the opportunity to grow and soar!

Tickets can be purchased online or will be available at the door.

Wine Tasting $100, 1-5 p.m.

Connoisseur’s Class $50, Noon to 1:30 p.m.
