Webinar Postponed; Hopkins unable to provide clone

Duty calls for music advocacy in Bridgewater, N.J.

We are sorry to announce that the Cadets Show Webinar scheduled for April 13 has been rescheduled and will now be conducted live, via Webinar, on Tuesday, April 20 at 7 p.m.

With the ongoing fiscal crisis in New Jersey, and the impact the government’s cuts are having upon the music programs, the US Scholastic Band Association, a program of Youth Education in the Arts, will be conducting a one evening town meeting for schools in Bridgewater, N.J. at the exact same time.  Originally, Hopkins did not plan to attend the band gathering but mounting comments, and Hopkins’ past experience as the Director of the New Jersey Coalition for Music Education, made his participation in the meeting all the more important.

So …

On April 13, Hopkins will be in Bridgewater, N.J., speaking to the bands of the US Scholastic Band Association.

On April 20th, he will be live, on line, and speaking to Cadets fans about the 2010 Cadets!

We are sorry for the change but as we are sure you agree, keeping music in the schools is a critical aspect of what YEA! does and who we are. We believe in the life skills music provides through all programs and we are devoted to making a difference in this cultural conversation.

Stay close to the Cadets’ Web site as registration for the April 20 Webinar will be announced in the coming days.
