VIP Pass to DCI Events for USSBA Percussion, Guard Staff

Unique opportunity for percussion and colorguard directors, instructors and designers

The USSBA, in conjunction with their sister organization, the Cadets, and their strategic partner Drum Corps International (DCI), announces a unique opportunity for percussion and colorguard directors, instructors and designers to enjoy five DCI shows presented by the USSBA in 2010 with a special complimentary All Access pass.

The All Access Summer Pass will give wearers access to all five DCI events presented by the USSBA that are scheduled for this summer in Pa. and N.J. The 2010 summer begins with the June 18 Three C Double Play featuring the Cadets, Carolina Crown and The Cavaliers at J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown. The final four Drum Corps: An American Tradition events will be held at the College of New Jersey (June 29), Chambersburg High School in Chambersburg, Pa. (July 6), West Chester Pa. University (August 5) and Clifton Stadium in N.J. (August 8.)

The All Access Pass will be limited in quantity to 30 guard and percussion staff, so interested individuals should contact the USSBA as soon as possible to reserve their 2010 summer credentials. “With the exclusive USSBA All Access pass, instructors and designers will be able to follow their favorite corps from warm-ups to the field and back to the buses, and all points in between," said Tim Gallagher, event manager for the USSBA. “There are so many ways that guard and percussion staff connect with one another. They’ve either marched together, have students in the corps or have gone to school with each other. The USSBA wants to make these connections better whenever and however we can.”

“Sometimes what happens off the field is as much fun as what happens on it,” said Sean King, director of the USSBA. “We realize that drum corps shows for many in the activity are as much a social event, as a competition. With the all-new Access Pass, users will be able to meet up, hang out and enjoy the event anyway they wish to. We’re proud to be the only organization that can provide this exclusive access to drum corps ‘the way you want it,’ and we think it’s a great way to thank the dedicated individuals who give so much of their time and talent in the fall and winter.”

To receive the Summer of 2010 USSBA All Access Pass, percussion and colorguard directors, instructors and designers should e-mail their contact information including name, address, phone number, unit(s) they work with and events they intend to attend to Courtney@yea.org. As always, USSBA member band directors can also take advantage of this opportunity by contacting Courtney@yea.org as well.
