Cadets saddened with loss of Michele Nance

The Cadets are saddened with the passing of Michele R. Nance, a 1982 colorguard member.

Michele passed away on Friday, Sept. 24 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. She was 44 years old.

A funeral service will be held at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010, at the M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Rd., Monroe Twp., N.J. 08831, 732-521-0555. Cremation will be private. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. For directions, please visit

Michelle was born in San Antonio, Texas, and lived the majority of her life in Berkeley Heights, N.J., before moving to Summit, N.J., in 1997. Her undergraduate studies took place at Virginia Tech and Rutgers before she went on to pursue her law degree from Seton Hall. She belonged to both the New Jersey and New York bar associations.

She is survived by her husband of one year, Adrian L. Brieger of Summit; her mother, Wanda Custer of Monroe Twp., N.J.; her father, Patrick Englese of Toms River, N.J.; two sisters, Deborah Bianchi and her husband, Steven, and her sons, Steven Patrick and Christian Thomas Bianchi of Oak Ridge, N.J., and Brielle Englese of Toms River; her in-laws, Erika (Hofer) Brieger and Bernardo S. Brieger of Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J., and her sister-in-law, Gabrielle Garner and her husband, James, of Haskell, N.J.
