Cadets Front Ensemble putting out a call for new recruits

Eight of 14 members of the section aged out this summer

As the 2010 Cadets Front Ensemble prepares for a memorable performance at PASIC in November, the group currently has more than half of the 14 positions available for the 2011 season.

According to Caption Supervisor & Arranger Iain Moyer, the corps is specifically looking for specialists in the solo areas of timpani and synthesizer, as well as talented keyboard and auxiliary percussion positions.

“The 2010 age-out class was indeed talented, and we’re excited to meet and work with the individuals who will fill those shoes at the Nov. 19-21 audition camp. It is rare that we have this many people age-out of the front ensemble in one season, providing the opportunity for so many first-year Cadets to join the ranks.”

Interested applicants can register HERE, or write to with specific questions regarding the audition process for the Cadets front ensemble.
