2011 Cadets will feature 80 horns on the performance field!

Auditions Nov. 19-21 in Reading, Pa., & Dec. 10-12 in Woodstown, N.J.

With the recent announcement that the 2011 Cadets will bring Frank Ticheli’s “Angels in the Architecture” to the field, the Design Team has also announced plans to increase the hornline by eight positions, bringing the total number of brass on the field to 80.

Each section will increase by two players, according to Cadets Assistant Director Justin Heimbecker. Which means with the upcoming auditions on Nov. 19-21 in Reading, Pa., and Dec. 10-12 in Woodstown, N.J., applicants have a better chance of securing a spot in the 2011 hornline.

When the hornline is solidified, it will include the following section break-downs:

24 trumpets
16 mellophones
24 baritones
16 tubas

Auditions for brass and percussion players, and colorguard performers will be held on Nov. 19-21 at Reading High School in Reading, Pa., and Dec. 10-12 in Woodstown, N.J.  CLICK HERE for audition and camp details.
