2011 Fall USSBA begins today

New Host Loyalty Program announced

Tara-Lee Bryant has already begun work on the 2011 Fall Marching Band season and only a few days have passed since the final US Scholastic Band Association Championship events.

Having guided close to 100 of her friends through the rains of 2009 and the warm, dry 2010 season, Tara-Lee is excited to add more events to the schedule for 2011, while continuing to serve the loyal boosters who have hosted a sanctioned USSBA event in the past several years.

“We are beginning the process of putting the schedule together earlier than we’ve done in the past to benefit the bands and hosts with more advanced planning,” said Tara-Lee.

“Ultimately, the final schedule will not be released until after the New Year as we continue to negotiate with college, professional facilities and their schedules,” said Sean King, Director of the USSBA.  “However, the earlier we can put together the schedule and communicate the plan, the better it will be for all participants.”

The USSBA is proud to announce a Loyalty Program for returning USSBA hosts in 2011.

“We want to be able to offer the hosts who have been with us this past season the opportunity to lock in their dates first,” said Tara-Lee, “and extend a bit of a discount to each of them as part of our Early Bird plan.”

All RETURNING Local Hosts and Member Bands are to submit the Letter of Intent to Tara-Lee via email by Dec. 15.  Please make sure to include three dates that will work for your program in order of preference.  This will help finalize your date before we open the doors to the world.

All new and prospective Local Hosts may submit their Letter of Intent at the same time, however loyal USSBA hosts will have their dates reserved first and the remaining on a first come, first serve basis.

Early bird fee discounts will also be extended as part of the Host Loyalty program, with the USSBA offering the 2010 fee for their Silver or Gold event for 2011 when paid in full by 5 p.m. on Jan. 7, 2011.  Of note to New Jersey hosts, this does not include the $500 discount for the three judge panel in New Jersey, as the evaluation is still ongoing as to whether or not three or four judge panels will be engaged for 2011.

As in previous years, payment in full for the entire amount of your event will be due to take advantage of the Early Bird discount.  However, payment in full by Jan. 7 at 5 p.m. can guarantee all hosts, whether new or returning, savings over the 2011 regular fees.

For those hosts who will not be taking advantage of the Early Bird discount, there remains a deposit requirement to hold your date and have the event be posted on our website.  The deposit amount continues to be $750 and needed to confirm your entry.

Feel free to contact Tara-Lee at tara@yea.org, or (610) 821-0345, Ext. 119, with any questions about hosting a local show or how we can work together to better an already existing event.
