TONIGHT: Brass applicants invited to Gino Cipriani's Webinar

As auditions approach, The Cadets foster open communications

Auditions for the 2011 Cadets are this weekend in Reading, Pa. Brass applicants are encouraged to join tonight's Webinar with Brass Caption Supervisor Gino Cipriani.

Monday night’s Webinar welcomed nearly 50 Cadets applicants and parents loaded with questions about becoming a member in 2011.

Rehearsal camps, Spring Training, Summer Tour, the audition process, airport travel – you name it, it was covered, according to Cadets Assistant Director Justin Heimbecker. The evening session was the first in a series of four Webinars being held this week that allows applicants to become familiar with the organization before Audition Camp this weekend.

“Most concerns voiced by applicants were about the tour, school, costs, etc. The approaching audition weekend was not the bulk of the questions. But, hopefully this helps everyone to know a little bit of what to expect before they get on the plane or in the car on Friday,” Heimbecker said.

The Webinar Mania series continues this evening at 9 p.m., Eastern Standard Time, when Cadets Brass Caption Supervisor Gino Cipriani opens the lines of communication about becoming a member of the 80-piece hornline. As with Monday’s Webinar, applicants should know no question is off limits as the corps begins auditions this weekend at Reading High School in Reading, Pa.
