Feb. 1 deadline for fall event confirmation approaches

Lock in your USSBA fall show date for the upcoming season

Next month, the US Scholastic Band Association will release the full fall show schedule. It’s also when directors will be planning and registering their bands for performances next season.

All the more reason to confirm your show date for 2011!

“We are encouraging show hosts to get on the schedule,” said Sean King, director of the USSBA. “If your event isn’t listed when we release the full 2011 schedule the week of Feb. 7, you stand the chance of losing some of those early registrants being on the field, at your show in the fall!”

Show host deposits need to be received by the USSBA by Feb. 1 to guarantee being on the schedule when it’s released in February, added King.

“Let us help you relieve any anxiety in running a local show by having ample time to prepare you and your booster program for success,” said Tara Lee Bryant, show host relations representative of the USSBA. “I will have the opportunity to give individual attention, whether it’s a site visit, phone conference or putting together recruiting lists, providing the foundation for a solid event.”

We’re rolling out 2011!

Winter isn’t a time to hunker down for the USSBA. Our Indoor percussion, colorguard and dance circuit gets underway in mid-February for a 10-week run. But winter also includes the team unveiling the fall event schedule on a staggered release. Stay close to the USSBA site as these events are announced.

Feel free to contact Tara-Lee at tara@yea.org, or (610) 821-0345, Ext. 119, with any questions about hosting a local show or how we can work together to better an already existing event. Also, ask Tara about our Host Loyalty Program for returning hosts and member bands!
