FREE Kids Jam hand drumming class on Saturdays

Morning drum circle brings rhythm and fun to Allentown

The Community Hand Drumming Experience Presented by Remo holds classes in the 6th Street Gallery in downtown Allentown.

Youth Education in the Arts in downtown Allentown invites kids and families to its FREE community hand drumming classes on Saturdays at 11 a.m.

All the drums and percussion equipment are provided and no experience is necessary for our Saturday morning sessions. Just bring the kids and prepare for an hour of fun and fantastic rhythms!

The Kids and Family Jam Time is part of the Community Hand Drumming Experience Presented by Remo, a program of the Urban Arts Center of the Lehigh Valley.

Kids and Family Jam Time

This Saturday morning 45-minute class with Drum Circle Facilitator Maureen “Moe” Jerant is a rhythm party where you’re allowed to make plenty of noise! We provide all the drum and percussion equipment, you just bring the family for a fun-filled morning of rhythm. No experience is necessary!

The class is held at the 6th Street Gallery, Musselman Arts Center, 601 W. Hamilton St., Allentown, Pa.

About Moe Jerant

Maureen Jerant is a trained drum circle facilitator and long-time percussionist and educator. From the Lehigh Valley area, 'Moe,’ brings to the class years of percussion and hand drumming experience, both locally and nationally. She is the founder of the Stressbuster Drum Circle and conducts private and group music lessons, plays with two musical groups and directs performances by the Jamani Drummers and the Lehigh Valley Drum Circle Ensemble.

 Jerant holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Music and is a trained Remo HealthRhythms facilitator. Read more about Jerant on her website, www.lvdrumcircle.com.
