Colorguard sessions added to Feb. 18-20 camp

Optional rehearsals focus on body movement, equipment

When you try something and it works, do it again!

That’s the plan for The Cadets Feb. 18-20 camp as the corps welcomes back colorguard members who are not in winter guard, or who are local to the area,  to participate in two days of body movement and equipment sessions.

Customarily, the colorguard doesn’t return to rehearsals until the April camp. But those performers not involved in an indoor winter program, or those seeking to improve their body movement and equipment skills are encouraged to attend, said Cadets Assistant Director Justin Heimbecker. Sessions were held for colorguard performers at the Jan. 7-8 camp attracting many members who wanted to improve their skills.

“The camp is not mandatory,” Heimbecker said. “But we want to offer it to those who can make the trip!”

The colorguard track at camp will follow this schedule:

7:30 p.m. - 11 p.m.
