Name: Danielle M. Marone Danni
Age: 23
Residence: Neshanic Station, N.J.
Occupation:  Finance Assistant, Youth Education in the Arts

What did you do in drum corps, if at all?
I marched color guard with Jersey Surf in 2008 and with the Reading Buccaneers in 2010. I’m also marching again this year with Bucs.

What did you do in marching band?
I joined color guard in the winter of my freshman year at Somerville High School. I did both the marching band and indoor guard which started when I was a junior. When I graduated I went to UMass Amherst where I joined the marching band there; I was also captain my senior year. I also participated in “Color in the Cage” which is UMass’s version of indoor guard where I both taught and performed.

Who's your favorite music person, living or dead, real or fictional?
I like a little bit of everything, but some of my favorite artists are Sara Bareilles, Jason Mraz, and Billy Joel

What's the best meal you've eaten? What was it and where?
My favorite meal is homemade manicotti. We have it every year on Christmas. It is delicious.

In one sentence, what do you actually do all day in your job?
I count money.

What was your first job?
I worked in an ice cream store in high school. They made their own ice cream, chocolates, and waffle cones. And I got to decorate cakes!J

What's the last thing you saw in the movies?
The last movie I saw was No Strings Attached. Super cute!

Do you give money to panhandlers?
Sometimes, but I don’t usually carry cash on me.

What’s your drink at Starbucks?
Hot chocolate all the way. I think coffee is kinda gross.

What's your drink at the local bar?
Either a tequila sunrise or rum and coke. As long as it’s not beer.

How often do you prepare your own meals?
I love to cook, but I very rarely get to.

What's your favorite cereal?
Frosted Flakes! They’re grrrrrrreat! Or if I’m trying to be healthy I’ll have Special K

What's hanging above your sofa?
Nothing, there is a window behind it.

How much is too much to spend on a haircut?
$40 is way too much.  I rarely even spend more than $30.

When's bedtime?
During the week, it’s anywhere between 10:30 and midnight, but the weekend varies depending on what mischief I get into.

Have you been to NYC? Which do you prefer, the old Times Square or the new Times Square?
I love everything about NYC, so I can’t pick.

How about Broadway? What have you loved?
I have seen over 25 shows on Broadway. The first one I ever saw was Grease when I was in third grade, but my favorites are Wicked, Avenue Q, and Phantom of the Opera.

What do you think of American Idol?
I’m a fan, but I’m not obsessed with it. The auditions are funny to watch, but for me it doesn’t really start to get interesting until at least the top six.

Do you prefer fiction or nonfiction? What was the last book you read?
I guess fiction is my favorite. The last book I read was One for the Money by Janet Evanovich. I’m on the second book in that series now J

Who is your mortal enemy?
I don’t have one.

When's the last vacation you took? Where did you go?
The last time I went anywhere it wasn’t just a vacation it was also for a convention in Phoenix, Arizona. We stayed at a really nice hotel, and went to the Grand Canyon. This year I am going on a real vacation though - a cruise to Key West and Cozumel. I can’t wait for warm weather!

Do you Facebook? What do you like about it?
Of course I Facebook! I like it because it allows me to keep in touch with my friends who all live far away now. Plus it’s a nice distraction when I need to look away from something that I’m working on.

Do you Twitter?
Hell no.

Where do you go to be alone?
I usually go for a nice long drive on the back country roads near my house.

And finally …
If you could meet one person, dead or living, who would it be and why?
Savion Glover and Martha Graham. I love dancing, and they were both very influential in their genres, so it’d be really cool to learn from them. Oh and Mia Michaels, because she is the deal.
