Basketball may be known for March Madness, but we all know gyms are for guards!

The 2011 USSBA Indoor & Zildjian Indoor Percussion Series Championships are just a little over a month away and while we may not have brackets, excitement is building for the second Championship event at Sun National Bank Arena in Trenton, N.J., on April 16.

“The USSBA Indoor Championships will feature teams in a stunning arena giving performers a memorable event to cap off their season.  I’ve been privileged to work indoor events across the country at local and national levels, and Sun Bank Arena ranks right up there with a vibe that makes it a true Championship,” said Larry Harper, events manager who recently joined the USSBA team.  indoor brackets 485

Another key to a team’s great Championship experience is the depth and quality of the adjudication panel.

Eric Kitchenman, Education Director for USSBA Indoor said in announcing the panel for the upcoming Championships, “From the very beginning the intent has been to create a Championship unlike any other.  We have worked on every aspect of the Championship, from the feeling when you walk into the arena to the double panel giving teams the absolute best feedback possible.”

Kitchenman continued, “Many teams are looking for one more read, one more chance to perform before their home circuit’s final show.  The USSBA is a great experience to help you prepare for that if it’s even hours or days away.”

A partial list of the 2011 Indoor Championship Adjudication Panel | Colorguard was recently announced:

General Effect:  Kristen O’Melia (MA)
Ensemble Analysis: Marc Sylvester (NY) and Eduardo Martinez (PA)
Equipment:  Rob Watson (NJ) and Emma Roberts (FL)

Select performance opportunities are still available, but are filling fast.  If you are looking to give your students an experience unlike any other they will have this entire indoor season, register today online at and be part of the ‘madness!’
