The Cadets will head outside to learn drill during this weekend's camp. Some portions of camp have moved to the nearby elementary school. Read below for changes and details.

A forecast of sunshine and milder temperatures will bring The Cadets out from their winter sanctuary at Woodstown High School on Sunday as our angels and demons hit the field to learn the first minute of drill during this weekend’s rehearsal camp.

About one minute of the opener will be taught as ‘Between Angels and Demons,’ The Cadets 2011 program, develops visually.  By the end of the sixth rehearsal camp this weekend, the brass section will have learned music to the entire show, and the percussion section will be just one piece behind, according to Cadets Assistant Director Justin Heimbecker.

‘Between Angels and Demons’ is quickly taking shape and the corps’ Design Team will meet Saturday during a six-hour session to tighten up the program. As excitement for the season builds, The Cadets are also seeking show logo designs from the public. Designs are streaming into the Allentown, Pa., office, as graphic designers try their hand at visually enhancing ‘Between Angels and Demons.’ The cut-off date for submissions is March 27.

Camp will run from Friday, March 18 through Sunday, March 20 in Woodstown, N.J., and will also include auditions for interested brass players. Several positions remain open, according to Heimbecker, and the goal is to fill those spots by the end of the weekend. Interested musicians should email Heimbecker at Justin@yea.org.

Other scheduled activities at Woodstown High School this weekend have The Cadets moving rehearsals and sleeping quarters to nearby Mary Shoemaker Elementary School. The elementary school is within walking distance of the high school, just across the fields via a walking path.

According to Heimbecker:

At Mary Shoemaker Elementary:
-Food truck parking and all meals
-Equipment truck parking (for first half of weekend)
-Sleeping (both nights)
-Rehearsal Friday night, Saturday morning and afternoon

Woodstown High School will only be used for the following:
-Showers all weekend (exact times Saturday morning TBD)
-Saturday night sectionals and ensemble rehearsal in gym
-Pit rehearsal on Sunday (stay in gym after Saturday ensemble)
