Cadets to preview field show in Allendale, N.J., on June 11

Memorial Mass, pizza party hosted by Holy Name alumni chapter

See The Cadets when they debut their field show on June 11 at Northern Highlands High School in Allendale, N.J.

The Cadets will make their first North Jersey appearance of the season on June 11, welcoming supporters, alumni, family and fans to Northern Highlands High School in Allendale, N.J., for a field preview show at 7 p.m.

The corps will present “Between Angels and Demons,” in uniform before they head out on the 2011 Summer Tour the next day. Cost to attend is $10 at the gate. No advanced ticket sales are available. 

Northern Highlands High School is located at 298 Hillside Ave, Allendale, N.J. 

The evening will be capped off with the annual Pizza and Caps for Cadets party for the members hosted by the North Jersey Holy Name Alumni chapter. The pizza party will be held at the food truck at approximately 8:30 p.m., following the preview show. Stay close to for any changes in the event of inclement weather. 

Memorial Mass 

The Holy Name chapter will also hold its traditional Memorial Mass on Saturday, June 11 at noon at the Holy Name Church in Garfield. The formal Cadet military mass will pay tribute to Cadets who have passed away, according to coordinator Dave Shaw. The service will also include two current Cadets in full uniform. 

All in attendance are invited to bring a single white flower in remembrance of each special Cadet in your life who has passed into eternity. Please attach a note, a letter, or a card to the flower. The flowers may be placed at the base of the memorial table in front of the altar as you enter the church. 

Memory flowers are being offered by Alumnus Joey Nikischer and include a single white rose with greens and baby's breath in a water tube and individually cello wrapped with a white bow and a card with the sentiment.  Contact Nikischer via e-mail or by cell at (973) 955-3404.
