Be a Part of the Season!

Positions available to volunteer or staff shows this Fall

Every year the US Scholastic Band Association is proud to provide magnificent experiences to tens of thousands of kids across the country and those events are made possible by the hundreds of USSBA volunteers and event staff.


These “weekend warriors” join the USSBA team throughout the fall and help ensure that each event runs smoothly.

“The success of the USSBA is truly thanks to those who join the crew each Saturday and really helps make these shows run,” says Courtney Beard, YEA! volunteer coordinator. “We’re fortunate to be able to trust the experiences of the bands to some really great people who do a simply fantastic job at supporting the needs of the bands on show day.”

YOU can be a part of these events which create memories to last a lifetime for the young musicians who attend. If you have a love of the activity and a desire to give back follow these steps to get on board for the upcoming season:

  1. Follow the links to create a profile and login to
  2. Click on the ‘Event Staff’ menu heading
  3. Highlight what roles you feel comfortable filling (if you’re unsure, just select "volunteer")
  4. Click on the dates you’re available this fall
  5. Hit "save" and you’re done!

Someone will be in touch with you shortly to discuss specific events and roles. Every show can use assistance, from an eight-band show in Idaho to the 51-band show at New Meadowlands Stadium so make sure to invite your friends and family to join us as well!
