Weather Update for the Weekend

Updated as of 9:30 am Saturday

USSBA SHOWS ALL A GO !!!  WE ARE PUSHING THE RAIN TO THE EAST

As of 9:30 am, all shows for the USSBA are a go. Texas weather is good, the interior of the country is good, but the East Coast is a bit shaky.

Depending on where you were Friday, you had up to three inches of rain, so we are concerned with fields as well as a string of thundershowers that is moving from the South to the North.

Affected areas:

Marine Corps Invitational in Annapolis begins at 1:00 pm. There will be some rain and drizzle there but we are hoping and watching for clearing. We do have time built into the show so if there is the need for a delay .. we will do so. But ... come on out! it's going to be a great day for bands in the Maryland Area.

In Herndon, Virginia, about 61 miles to the West, over 25 bands will begin at 3 pm at one of the big shows the US Scholastic Band Association brings to Virginia. We do have artificial turf, we are dry as of now ... and all looks to be ok. If we need to wait ... we will.

All other shows have later start times and all indications are that as the day proceeds, the weather will improve from South to North.

Watch for drizzle .. it will be humid ... and it could rain off and on.

But this is band season and we are ready to go!!!
