With over 100 schools registered to participate by downloading the charts, bands are encouraged to be one of the first groups to upload their video as they will win exclusive prizes from CAKE just for posting their videos. The first 10 bands to post their video will receive materials personally autographed by the band to hang proudly in their band room.

High school and university bands should post their videos at Federalfundingmarch.strutta.com in order to be automatically entered into the contest. The winning band will have a concert at their school by CAKE and will appear in the official "Federal Funding March" video for the song. As well, the 10 finalist bands will receive gear including instruments and accessories based on their final vote count.

Sean King, director of marketing for the USSBA, said, “We’re very excited by the number of bands who downloaded the charts, and now is the time to show off what you’ve dreamed up! The outpouring of support from major partners such as Music & Arts, Yamaha Corporation of America, Fender, NAMM and Rolling Stone Magazine gives us a great indication of the importance to these organizations of music in the schools — and with CAKE’s involvement, it’s time to show the world what marching bands can do!”
