Online conversation to help connect current members

Eric Kitchenman, director of performing ensembles, said the chat was timely. “With so much technology at our fingertips, we thought it would be great to create a space for current returning veterans to answer questions from potential members in real time, while those who are considering joining the 2012 corps can form connections with other auditionees and vets weeks before the actual first camp.”

He added that easing newbie anxiety was another goal. “One of the biggest hurdles we’ve found for most first-year members is feeling comfortable at the first camp; we’re trying to remove any obstacle to that fear and make it as inviting as possible for everyone.”

Join us for the chat and if you have any questions before Wednesday night, contact Melissa Barlow at Melissa@YEA.org.
