Cadets2 to Make History this Weekend

New Corps Debuts to Extend Legacy of The Cadets

History is upon us!

As dawn breaks on Saturday, Nov. 26, the sun also rises on a brand new program offering by YEA!, as Cadets2  debut with rehearsals at Upper Darby High School in Drexel Hill, Penn.  As a sibling to the 10-time and current World Champion Cadets and the US Scholastic Band Association, Cadets2  will provide a weekend only opportunity for young people in the Mid-Atlantic to have a “Cadets” experience by learning from members of the current Cadets instructional staff, as well as other staff members who have marched and taught with the Cadets over the past several years.

Cadets2  will be rehearsing once per month throughout the winter and spring before weekly rehearsals begin in May.  Through the summer, the corps will perform as part of the Drum Corps Associates (DCA) season as well as select weekend DCI events in the region.

Eric Kitchenman, Director of the new corps said, “We are looking forward to a great turn-out for this first camp. The buzz has been growing over the past few weeks and we’re excited to be able to give 100 or more members the life-changing experience of being a Cadet.”
