USBands to be on hand for NJMEA Conference

New Jersey Music Educator Association Conference set for Feb. 2325

USBands frequent fliers Rich Hammond and Jon Swengler returned recently from the Texas Music Education Association meetings in San Antonio with barely enough time to refresh and regroup for the 2012 New Jersey Music Educator Association Conference to be held next week in New Brunswick, February 23–25.njmea logo

Rich Hammond, Jon Swengler and newcomer Melissa Reese will be on hand to meet with band directors, instructors, adjudicators and students to discuss the 2012 fall marching band season and some of the very exciting projects and programs currently underway at USBands.

Rich Hammond said, “We should be very close to announcing the final version of the schedule for New Jersey at NJMEA. With the possible exception of a few last-minute revisions, the schedule we review with the directors at NJMEA should be close to the final as we look to open registrations in time for March 1.”

While at the conference, attendees will be able to find out the latest on The Cadets and Cadets2 programs, as well as the Day of Colorguard and Percussion clinics to be held May 5 at Bridgewater-Raritan High School and the annual return of the top DCI corps this season to New Jersey. Watch also for a very exciting announcement coming in the next few days exclusively for member schools of USBands.

If you would like to schedule a time to chat with the team, contact Jon Swengler at jonathan@yea.org, or Melissa Reese at mreese@yea.org, at your convenience.
