As attention turns back to marching band with the end of band camps and the start of the new school year, parents, fellow students and band directors are encouraged to nominate musicians and guard performers in their band to become one of the lucky 300 performers who will march in the prestigious, nationally televised Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade at the Walt Disney World Resorts in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.

 
"The initial reaction to the All-Star Band has been overwhelmingly positive," said Melissa Barlow, project manager for the USBands All-Star Band. "We are happy that over 200 prospective members have been nominated for the band and we are in the process of inviting the final few members to the band to enjoy a remarkable event at Disney this fall."
 
From Nov. 29–Dec. 2, the All-Stars will spend four days and three nights at Walt Disney World® Resort training with members of the instructional team of the 10-time World Champion Cadets as they prepare for the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. Additionally, the All-Stars will have time to visit the Walt Disney Resort® Parks, take part in a special awards banquet and make friends with other musicians and colorguard performers from around the country.
 
The all-inclusive fee for participation begins at $895 and includes all meals, ground transportation and lodging at Disney’s All-Star Resort, three-day Walt Disney World® PARK HOPPER® Pass including admission to the Magic Kingdom® Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, Epcot®and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® theme park and much, much more.  Airfare is not included.
 
The application process is easy.  In order to nominate a student, please complete the 2012 USBands All-Star Marching Band Application HERE.
 
Participation in the USBands All-Star Marching Band will be limited to those students that are sophomores, juniors and seniors as of the date of the event.
 
Applicants will be required to register at www.USBandsAll-StarBand.org. The non-refundable registration fee is $45.
 
USBands will provide instructional staff and other supervisory staff to ensure the well-being of students during the event. In addition to USBands professional teaching staff, USBands will select chaperones to accompany the All Star Marching Band to rehearsals, functions and “free time” excursions, and to conduct nightly bed checks. All All-Star Band members and parents will be required to abide by USBands Code of Conduct while on the trip.
