The Cadets Camp Update for This Weekend

Only One Winter Camp Remains After this Weekend

It hasn’t been very long since the first audition camp back in November, but now with this weekend’s March 16–18 camp, only one rehearsal remains before spring training move-in and the "12.25" show takes to the field. Next camp, we’ll welcome back the colorguard and get pages of the Jeff Sacktig drill onto the field.

George Hopkins and the creative team have been hard at work pulling together the final few pieces of the music program for the camp. Over the past week, George has made trips to Boston to meet with ColinMcNutt and work through the percussion book and to Jay Bocook’s home in South Carolina to pull together the brass arrangements of the show that will make "12.25" another stellar addition to the history of The Cadets.

Weather has been nearly perfect for every camp this winter, with only a few sprinkles affecting what in the past has been a tough winter schedule, sometimes with snow and ice. This weekend however, the luck of the Irish is with the corps and temperatures in the '60s and '70s will mean lots of outdoor time for the corps.

For those of you who like the details, here is the schedule, menu, music and more for the St. Patrick’s Day weekend camp. As usual, everyone is welcome for the Sunday ensemble rehearsal which will run from 12:30–2 p.m.
