Cadets2 Lock on for March 31 Camp

A Busy Week Leads Up to a Huge Camp

It’s been a pretty amazing week for Cadets2 and its about to get even more exciting as the lead-up to their weekend long camp at South Mountain Middle School in Allentown is only a few hours away.cadets2

Weeks of planning and promotion, getting out on the streets is starting to pay off and as Corps Director Rich Hammond said in a note to the corps, “We’re seeing a great deal of interest in the corps and NOW is the time to seal the deal. Share with everyone you know your infectious attitude for C2.  It's really not hard. It's 10 people, exactly like you, that we need. Only 10 to fill out a full brass line for our very first year.”

There were several other very important milestones this week for the corps that has captured the attention of many in the Mid-Atlantic region including:

  • A Recruiting trip to Central Pennsylvania including Red Land HS, Mechanicsburg High School and Cumberland Valley High School
  • The Cadets2 Launch Squad at the WGI Regional at South Brunswick netted a significant number of potential guard members for this summer
  • Recruiting trips to New Jersey including Somerville High School and Vernon Township High School
  • A recruiting trip to West Chester University
  • This weekend the Cadets2 Launch Squad will be on site at the USBands Indoor event at Old Bridge High School in Old Bridge, N.J.  If you’re at the show, stop by, grab a sticker, wear a pin, show your support for “C2

Plus, the full line of 56 brass instruments are on their way from Yamaha to outfit the corps with fantastic, brand new instruments. If you have been thinking about marching this summer and haven’t made a commitment yet, now is the time!

Rich Hammond capped off his note to the members by encouraging the members to recruit their friends and others just like themselves. “Ten people are keeping us from being great. Please don't wait for someone else, do it NOW!”
