Cadets2 Colorguard Weekend April 27-29 in Woodstown, NJ

Special Event for Guard Performers with Cadets Staff and Members

In a first of its kind event, Cadets2 is inviting all prospective members of the 2012 guard to Woodstown High School in Woodstown, NJ over the April 27-29 weekend to spend time with the 10-time World Champion Cadets instructional staff and members, before heading into a full rehearsal for the Cadets2 guard.

The process of building the Cadets2 colorguard began back in November with nearly two dozen prospective members attending the first Cadets2 camp.  In March, another dozen potential members took part in a one day rehearsal/audition.

Upcoming on April 14, Cadets2 will be hosting an on-site audition at the USBands Indoor Championships at Sun National Bank Arena immediately following the colorguard portion of the Championship program.  Any colorguard performers who will be competing at the USBands Indoor Championships and wish to perform in Cadets2 this summer are encouraged to RSVP to Melissa@yea.org to be added to the audition list for April 14 in Trenton.

The April 27-29 weekend will allow the performers who have completed their winter guard commitments to take part in an exciting weekend to meet new friends and study with the World Champions from Friday evening April 27 at 7PM to Saturday at 12Noon.  After noon on Saturday, Cadets2 will head-off to begin work on their own blocks, while the Cadets begin working on their own.

“It will be an interesting opportunity for the two corps’ guard staffs and members to work together, share a few meals and get a good deal of work done towards their 2012 programs,” said Rich Hammond Corps Director for Cadets2.  “If you are on the fence about marching this summer, we strongly encourage you to come out to Woodstown on April 27 just to check it out.  You’ll have fun, meet friends and learn a few tricks of the trade from the Cadets, and who knows, might be inspired to march this summer!”

Cadets2 are the regionally based, weekend alternative to the World Champion Cadets.  If you have always wanted a Cadets-quality experience, but did not have the time or resources, Cadets2 provides that opportunity to members between the ages of 16-25 from throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
