Cadets To Perform at Most Holy Name Church

Church Celebrates Centennial Sunday June 10th

The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps will perform this Sunday, June 10th at the church where the corps was originated.  The Holy Name Cadets of Garfield, NJ were founded in 1934 and are the oldest continually running drum corps in the activity today.

Corps Director George Hopkins said, "We are thrilled and honored to be able to join The Most Holy Name Church in their Centennial Celebration."  The Memorial Cadet Mass will begin at 10:30am and the corps will perform outside the church at 11:30am.  Lite refreshments will be provided by the church.

A committee of church members, including former Cadets Director Dr. Joseph Cinzio and his wife Sophie, have been working with Monsignor Rielly since March to put this celebration together.

This performance will mark the conclusion of what is sure to be an exciting weekend thank you tour through Eastern Pennsylvania, Northern New Jersey and Connecticut before The Cadets head to Akron, Ohio for their first DCI show.
