Rehearsal day in Indianapolis

The Cadets spend one more day locking down the changes before shows pick up again

As far as rehearsal is concerned, yesterday was about as normal as they come. The Cadets did get to sleep until 10:00 a.m. because of the long drive to Indianapolis from Cullowhee, NC, but they rehearsed on turf in the sun for 12 hours until 10:00 p.m. to make up for the late morning.

It was a sad day, however, for the members of the corps, as we had to say goodbye to two beloved veterans who went home yesterday due to stress fractures and personal reasons, respectively. I’ll keep their names private here, but their personalities and talents will be dearly missed by the 2012 Cadets.

The corps is moving forward, though, and the baritone and front ensemble positions have already been filled.

The Cadets set up for a full run-through at 9:45 last night, and dinner was served at 10:00. The convoy left for Illinois promptly at midnight, and we’re off to a sunny start to this show day so far!
