The Cadets delivered a solid performance in TCF Bank Stadium

Over the past two days, The Cadets have been back in the familiar show-day routine. The Lisle, IL show on Friday night provided the corps a good chance to get back into uniform after four days of rehearsal (it’s easy to get used to performing the show without the extra weight and constraint of the uniform). There were some sound problems; the right speaker wasn’t working at all, but the corps performed well.

The Cadets woke up at 8:00 a.m. yesterday for their first regional day. There was a little extra hype all around; it’s exciting for the members when the competition season starts to pick up. Regionals provide a great sense of momentum to the summer.

I particularly love the Minneapolis regional for TCF Bank Stadium at the University of Minnesota. Their colors are maroon and gold, so The Cadets fit right in. The sections warmed up well and all went smoothly, and the corps had a solid performance.

As for the scores, it’s still early in the season, but regardless, a summer with The Cadets is not made or ruined by competitive placement. The corps was up bright and early at 8:30 in the Rockford area this morning to keep cleaning their show and to work on making this another great Cadet corps in a long tradition of great Cadet corps.

Thanks to Yuichiro for another great photo!
