Christmas in the Alamodome

The Cadets placed fourth last night after another solid performance

The Cadets have another regional under their belts, and spirits are high today as the members and staff continue to look forward. The corps went on third from the end last night; performance order was randomly selected based on the scores of groups of three in Minneapolis last weekend. The Cadets performed very well last night in a dome that has bested many Cadet corps in the past (the turf in the Alamodome has a reputation for tripping people up, for some reason).

After the show, The Cadets packed up and waited for retreat to finish. Since we spent two nights at Lady Bird Johnson High School, we left the food truck back at the housing site, and the members ate snack after the 45-minute drive back to the school.

They woke up a little later than normal at 8:45 this morning, and they’ll be rehearsing from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. This afternoon, the corps will get a small reward for all their hard work in Texas and the Midwest in the form of five free hours on the Riverwalk in San Antonio. For now, though, the corps is sweating it out in sectionals!
