Back home on the East Coast

Cadets stepping into the biggest week of the season on the right foot

The Cadets just pulled into Landisville Middle School in Landisville, PA after a little less than a 10-hour trek up the East Coast from Charlotte, NC. The corps is consistently performing well, and their show at Night Beat at the fourth Tour of Champions show last night was no exception—especially after rehearsing under partly cloudy skies with a high of 88 all day. Since the corps has been back in Eastern Time, temperatures have been much kinder and look to remain mild for the rest of the week.

As for today, the members got to sleep until noon even though we arrived much earlier than expected. After brunch, it’s a fast rehearsal day followed by the last laundry day of the season tonight at 8:30. In the meantime, I’ll be out washing the corps uniforms again today, so The Cadets will look (and smell) nice and clean going into their week of home shows.

The corps will be at the YEA-run show in West Chester, PA this Wednesday, Allentown on Saturday and the Tour of Champions Grand Finale in Metlife Stadium on Sunday. It’s a big week for the corps, and we hope to see you at our home shows!
