USBands All-Star Band Deadline Rapidly Approaching

Members Have Until Aug. 31 to Confirm Participation

disney-world-marching-band-1971.jpgWell over 200 potential members have applied or have been formally accepted to the very first USBands All-Star Marching Band that will be making its debut this Nov. 29–Dec. 2 by marching in the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade to be nationally telecast on Christmas Day.

If you are one of those who have been nominated or have nominated your favorite band member, the first deadline to participate is rapidly approaching as we begin to set theroster for the All-Star Band. If you have applied or been nominated and have not yet contacted Music America to confirm your participation, you will need to contact Music America before Friday, Aug. 31. From Nov. 29–Dec. 2, the All-Stars will spend four days and three nights at Walt Disney World® Resort training with members of the instructional team of the 10-time World Champion Cadets as they prepare for the Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade. Additionally, the All-Stars will have time to visit the Walt Disney Resort® Parks, take part in a special awards banquet and make friends with other musicians and colorguard performers from around the country.
The all-inclusive fee for participation begins at $895 and includes all meals, ground transportation and lodging at Disney’s All-Star Resort, three-day Walt Disney World® PARK HOPPER® Pass including admission to the Magic Kingdom® Park, Disney’s Hollywood Studios®, Epcot®and Disney’s Animal Kingdom® theme park and much, much more. Airfare is not included.
USBands will provide instructional staff and other supervisory staff to ensure the well-being of students during the event. Inaddition to USBands professional teaching staff, USBands will select chaperones to accompany the All Star Marching Band to rehearsals, functions and “free time” excursions, and to conduct nightly bed checks. All All-Star Band members and parents will be required to abide by USBands Code of Conduct while on the trip.
