Final Week of Regular Season for Cadets2

DCA World Championships Next Weekend in Annapolis

image.php.jpegAll of the marching blocks. All of the ensemble rehearsals. All of the individual practice comes down to this: The final two weeks of the inaugural season of Cadets2.

This weekend the corps makes their final regular season appearance at Pennsauken High School in Pennsauken, N.J. on Sunday, Aug. 26 before the DCA World Championships next week in Annapolis, Md.
Corps Director Rich Hammond, after finishing his weekend caption head conference call, was enthusiastic for the big finals push. “We’ve come a long way, and I know we’ve said it before, but from the staff’s perspective it has been a pleasure to see this corps come together to learn how to be a drum corps. How to practice, how to travel, how to compete… these are all things that some of us veterans take for granted and it has made the instructional staff better teachers by getting back to the basics.”
Hammond ended by saying, “Everyone in this corps should be proud of the milestones we’ve accomplished so far and continue to look forward to those final few we attempt to achieve!”
The corps will be rehearsing in Allentown on Friday evening before loading up and moving to Lawrenceville, N.J. for rehearsal and housing for Saturday. Sunday morning the corps will be rehearsing in Pennsauken before the afternoon performance. Cadets2 are scheduled to step off at 2:15 p.m.
