Cadets2 Conclude Regular Season: Seedings for DCA Champs Posted

Corps Tops 4 in Pennsauken; Ranked 5th in Championship Preliminaries

Cadets2 ended its inaugural regular season with a victory in a four-corps event Sunday in Pennsauken, N.J., as all of the DCA units prepare for the 2012 World Championships to be held in Annapolis, Md. this coming weekend.

As Rich Hammond posted on the corps FB page, "Cadets2 got a lot better this weekend," and the fans who have followed the organization all season couldn't agree more.

The corps has continued to rehearse, refine and perfect the "Launch" program into a potential finalist position and with a big three-day weekend of rehearsals and performances. The corps looks to be in good position to perform under the lights in its first DCA World Championship Finals next Sunday.

Cadets2 capped its initial campaign season with a score of 89.60, capturing first place in Pennsauken. Other corps performing were the Kidsgrove Scouts with a score of 88.15, Bushwackers with a 80.75 and Excelsior with a 65.10.

The DCA circuit uses a seeding policy which is based on the corps' highest scores from the regular season in order to determine step-off times for the World Championship preliminaries in Annapolis. With its high score of 89.60, Cadets2 is seeded fifth and will be stepping off in the last segment of competitors to earn a finalist bid.
