Shows closed for registration and billing information

With a record number of NJ bands registering early in the spring for USBands regular season events, a  number of shows scattered around the state on various weekends have been closed for registration.

Please understand that the caps are in place to protect the hosts not only from extra band fees, but from tired judges, unmanageable parking lots, and critiques that run for hours. In order for the regular season circuit to run properly the USBands office and host schools need to work together; to ensure that all shows have enough bands to support their venue and be a successful fundraiser for the program. Early in the spring we did our best to carefully place hosts shows a reasonable distance apart, especially in New Jersey, since many times major hosts are right down the road.

For all shows that have been closed, there is the option to be wait listed, but that does not guarantee that you will be able to attend that particular show.  In most cases, there is a show on the same date that is still open for registration, and would appreciate the support of a last minute addition. There are also a number of great shows running every Sunday in October:

October 7

October 14

Bergenfield HS

Northern Highlands HS

JP Stevens HS

October 21

October 28

Preview to Championships

North Plainfield HS

Washington Twp HS

Fair Lawn HS

Union HS

Old Bridge

Our goal this year is to have a happy medium! With the number of members we have across the state, it is entirely possible to have 4-5 very successful shows on the same day, as long as the participation is evenly spread.

“I am so happy with the participation and interest for New Jersey states this year – we took a risk moving it to such a high profile venue, and it has definitely paid off. This is something I was in favor of from the beginning, but we can’t forget about the local shows too!” stated Melissa in response to the 100+ bands registered for NJ States.  If you are one that has already registered, please contact the office to confirm your payment method (registration fee OR reduced fee + required tickets)
