Week 3 of USBands Season; We Go National

17 Events from Mass. to Idaho; 3 Big Regionals

Week 3 is the biggest yet for the USBands team as 17 events from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mountain West, with two Regionals in Texas and one in Virginia gives over 200 bands an opportunity to shine.

Weather this weekend does not look to be an issue, unlike last weekend when wary parents and band directors kept eyes on the radar all day long. Of course, with events all across the country we can't have clear skies everywhere, which is why the team in Texas is on high alert for the possibility of wet weather impacting the Showcase events in Midlothian near Dallas and Pflugerville near Austin.

4PM UPDATE! The inclement weather has called for a cancellation of the Midlothian Showcase scheduled for today. We apologize for the inconvenience, but little can be done when the weather is so unfavorable. We'll see everyone in North Texas next weekend in Burleson.

We'll keep the Facebook and website up to date with any issues if they arise in Texas or elsewhere, but otherwise, we kick-off with an afternoon shin-dig at Seneca HS in South Jersey, before the full slate gets underway mid-afternoon and into the evening.

Also, our popular Media Makers return to seven events this weekend so watch for photos, videos and more coverage from events all across America to be posted here at usbands.org and at www.facebook.com/usbands.
