Week 4 of USBands 2012: Band in October Sun. UPDATE 12Noon

Two Sunday Shows on Schedule

The calendar flips to the first weekend in October and marching bands are in high gear on this Columbus Day weekend with 20-plus events across America on the USBands Week 4 schedule.

Weather on Saturday was generally pleasant, but a chance of scattered showers in the Northeast later in the afternoon and evening slowed a few shows, but everything else went off according to plan.

Week 4 brings the first Sunday shows of the season, and unfortunately the weather has brought a little rain to North NJ, but as of 12Noon Sunday both shows  will run as scheduled. However, the call was made to move the JP Stevens show indoors. Watch for the latest details for these two contests throughout the day.

As always, the USBands Media Maker teams will be spread out across the nation covering each vent with photos, articles and videos from eight events in NJ, MA, PA, MD, GA, TN and Texas. Watch for these to be posted Sunday and throughout the week.

Up next week: the HUGE Yamaha Cupa at MetLife Stadium,  a big number of shows in Texas  and a full slate of local events throughout the Northeast.
