USBands Teams up with the Salvation Army for NJ State and National Championships

Collection of food, clothing, supplies and monetary donations at all locations

There will be more details early this week but this Saturday afternoon, George Hopkins, the CEO of Youth Education in the Arts has announced that USBands will be collecting supplies, canned goods, clothing and monetary donations at the NJ State and National Championship events over the weekend of November 10-11.

The Salvation Army will be on hand to coordinate the events.

The locations and events that will be collecting include:

  • November 10th
    • The National Championships at Met Life Stadium
    • The National Championships at the Marine /Navy Stadium in Annapolis
    • The NJ State Championships in Washington Twp. High School - NJ
  • November 11th
    • The National Championships at Met Life Stadium
    • The NJ State Championships at Piscataway High School - NJ
    • The NJ State Championships at Edison High School NJ

Details will be coming as well as a web page… but USBandAID is up and running for next weekend.

We are thrilled to be able to assist the recovery, if just a bit, while also presenting a final opportunity for seniors, and all band students, to finish out the 2011 marching season in grand style. Rosemary from the Salvation Army also wrote:
