"Both Sides Now" Design Contest

Calling all graphic designers, artists and other creative types in Cadets Nation!

yourdesignhere.pngAs you know, The Cadets recently announced their 2013 program, Both Sides Now, featuring the music of American composer Samuel Barber. Now it's your turn to combine your love of The Cadets, the marching activity and graphic arts to help us create the official design for the 2013 production.

What does "Both Sides Now" mean to you? Would you emphasize Samuel Barber? 2013? The Cadets? Or some other element?

This is your chance to show us how "Both Sides Now" moves you and send us your designs.

The rules are pretty simple:

1. Use any component of "The Cadets," "2013," "Both Sides Now," "Presenting the music of Samuel Barber" and/or the official Cadets logo.

2. Submit your final design as a .jpg or .pdf along with your name and mailing address to marketing@yea.org before midnight on Friday, Dec. 14.

3. Once submitted, all designs become the property of The Cadets and Youth Education in the Arts.

*Note: We can't guarantee that we'll use your design, but we do promise to send everyone who enters the design contest a small token of our appreciation, as long as you include your address with your submission. If your design is chosen as the official graphic of The 2013 Cadets' show, you will receive an Ultimate Cadets Fan Pack including apparel, recordings and tickets to a select event in 2013.

"Our fans are amazing and over the years have provided us with fantastic ideas and designs for t-shirts, DVD covers and other apparel," said Sean King, director of marketing for YEA! and The Cadets. "For 2013, we are wondering what 'Both Sides Now' means to you. So sit down with your laptop, iPad or sketchbook and send us some ideas. We can't wait to see the creativity you have to share with us," King said.

If you have questions, feel free to send them to marketing@yea.org and watch for updates on the "Both Sides Now" design contest to be posted at Cadets.org and on the official Cadets' Facebook page.
