YEA! Seeks 2 Merchandising Team Managers

Positions available in Merchandising and Instrument Sales

hopkinsmug200A note from our CEO, George Hopkins:
This year has been packed with rebuilding and expansion as Youth Education in the Arts prepares for our march to a more expansive and exciting tomorrow. Discussions point to doubling our programs over the coming five years, with large increases in community programming as well as fall and winter USBands offerings.

To handle the increases and assist in the rebound after a difficult 2012 with several cancelled events and a challenging band season, there has been much effort put into the support systems of the organization over the past months.

The Accounting Department has been revamped and is on schedule to deliver system revisions and reports come mid-March. The Cadets have added a new tour team and are in the middle of a three-month rehearsal blackout.

And today we launch what we know will be a successful search for two unique positions. These managers will work in the same department but have completely different responsibilities and opportunities:
YEA! Merchandising Manager
YEA! Instrument Sales Manager

Both positions require skill, experience and a love of the marching arts. Both involve the responsibility of $500,000 in sales, and both will answer directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing.

Take a look at the two positions, and if they speak to you, if they make sense, and if you can start within 30 days or so, drop a letter and your resume to George Hopkins at hopkins@yea.org.

Remember, these positions require at least related experience. The sales position is clearly a high-powered sales gig dealing with colleges and high schools, while the merchandising position calls for someone who can run a store, knows inventory control, and can support and care for a sales force of paid and volunteer staff.

So take a look. These are great times at YEA!, and great opportunities abound. We offer medical, 401(k), 15 paid holidays, two weeks vacation and tremendous satisfaction. And the more you sell, the more you can make. We look forward to hearing from you.
