#TheFanShow: DCI's Best in a New Format

The Cadets host a new spin on drum corps in Chambersburg June 27

Chambersburg Area High School's fan-friendly Trojan Stadium will again host Drum Corps: An American Tradition on Fri., June 27, as The Cadets kick off their 2014 home show series with a four-corps line-up of DCI World Championship Finalists in a brand-new format subtitled #TheFanShow Presented by McDonald’s.

After traditionally judged performances by The Cadets, Bluecoats, Boston Crusaders and Spirit of Atlanta, each corps will re-enter the field for an encore performance of their full program, this time with live commentary from their programming staff and input/feedback from the fans via text, Twitter and other social media.

“Fans may remember the ‘Three Cs' program from a few years back, when each corps performed and was then guided through a second performance by their staff," said George Hopkins, Director of The Cadets and CEO of YEA!. "We hope to build upon that concept for this year’s Chambersburg event."

“Watch for more information and announcements on #TheFanShow format in the coming weeks, as we bring drum corps to the fans and create a unique entertainment experience like no other on tour,” said Sean King, Director of Marketing for The Cadets and YEA!. “Who knows what our team might dream up to get the fans engaged in #TheFanShow? McDonald’s is a sponsor of the event; that could be a hint!”
