The following week, bands will take the field at the University of Utah's Rice-Eccles Olympic Stadium in Salt Lake City on Oct. 18, 2014.

"Rice-Eccles Stadium is one of the most impressive collegiate venues in the nation," said USBands Director Justin Heimbecker. "Built to accomodate the 2002 Winter Olympics, it will provide an incredible opportunity for western bands to showcase their talents while receiving world-class feedback from an equally impressive panel of adjudicators."

GEORGIA

On Oct. 18, the Marching Music Series will simultaneously showcase the superb talent of southern bands at Lambert High School's impressive stadium, just northeast of Georgia's capitol city.

"The Lambert High School Stadium provides Music in Motion with a great facility in a fantastic location," Heimbecker said. "Holding such an event in Forsyth County allows groups from the entire Southeast to converge on North Georgia for an incredible experience with one of the most impressive adjudication panels ever assembled in the world of marching music."
