USBands Seeks Part-Time Relations Rep

USBands is currently looking to fill a temporary position to assist in the area of Band Relations.

Temporary Band Relations Representative

As Team USBands strives to serve its 650+ member bands and reach out to new band directors, a position is available for someone who understands the world of marching band at some level, is a great communicator on the phone, and has some background in customer service and/or sales.

Time Commitment

This job is available immediately, and the position will run through mid-to-late June.

The successful candidate will work from approximately 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, for the term of the agreement.

In addition, there may be some weekend work required at special YEA! events and other team-based activities.

There is a possibility that this could turn into a long-term position, but that opportunity will be reviewed at a later time.

Location

Due to the nature of the position, this role must be fulfilled from the USBands office headquarters in Allentown, Pa.

More Info

Despite the fact that USBands is the nation's largest scholastic marching music service organization, there are still bands out there who don't know we exist, while other programs may have participated with us in the past, and we need to reach out to provide an update on what USBands looks like in 2014 and where it is headed. And, of course, USBands' current member bands need the very best in customer care and service.

We are experiencing wonderful growth in many regions, while entering into a new, exciting venture with some of the top drum corps in the nation through the Marching Music Series events this fall. Ultimately, USBands needs to work to ensure the success of each and every event in order to continue to serve music programs long into the future.

The key to every event is getting bands registered for events and taking care of them along the way. We need a committed, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, motivated individual to assist in this effort between now and the end of the school year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (preferred)
  • Familiarity with the marching arts at a high school or college level
  • Ability to manage large volume of call/e-mail throughout the day
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to provide the highest level of sales professionalism & customer service to all levels of programs

To Apply

Please send a cover letter and resume to the Director of Bands, Justin Heimbecker, at justin@yea.org. This position is available immediately, and we are looking to fill the position very quickly.
